Letztes Wochenende hatte ich die große Ehre zu einem Workshop-Wochenende in die Normandie reisen zu dürfen, wo ich 20 begeisterten Claydies in Sachen Cuff-Bracelets unterrichtet habe. Organisiert wurde der Workshop von Nathalie Sellem-Legrain (heurebleue) und Séverine Faget, Leiterinnen der “Associaton Millefiori“.

Unterrichtsort war ein Familienhotel direkt am Meer, wo uns ein sehr großzügiger Unterrichtsraum zum Arbeiten zur Verfügung stand. Von Samstag-Morgen bis Sonntag-Abend haben alle unermüdich meinen Ausführungen gelauscht, und auf sehr kreative Art und Weise umgesetzt. Es sind nicht nur tolle Armreifen entstanden (mit dem speziellen französischen Touch), sondern noch viele weitere Kleinodien wie Perlen, Anhänger … (in meinem Picasa-Album sind ein paar schöne Bilder zu sehen).

Ich habe viele neue Freundschaften geschlossen und werde die Ein oder Andere im Oktober beim Euroclaycarnival schon wiedersehen.
Ich hoffe, dass sich bald wieder die Möglichkeit für einen weiteren Trip in die schöne Normandie ergibt.

Last weekend I had the great opportunity to teach a two day cuff bracelet class in France (Normandie) for 20 enthusiastic claydies.
Nathalie Sellem-Legrain (heurebleue) and Séverine Faget – leaders of the french guild “Association Millefiori” did a great job in organizing this workshop weekend for all of us.
The workshop took place in a fabulous family hotel at the sea, where we had a huge, generously proportioned class room. From saturday morning until sunday night all the girls were tirelessly listening to me and everyone was doing great creative work. Not only neatly crafted cuffs were made but also lots of beads, pendants etc…(see the pics in my Picasa album).
I made a lot of new friends and I’m looking forward to meet some of them at the European Clay Carnival again. I hope I’ll soon get the chance for another trip to “la belle Normandie”.
